I decided to buy a coolant temp sensor with my AOS. Where is the sensor located? I cant find it in the tech manual.

For MY99 it's under the coolant tank, just about in the middle as I recall. Memory says it loosens by turning counter-clockwise.

Is it mounted on the bottom of overflow reservoir or on the engine? I think the only sensor under the tank is the coolant level sensor.

I think I found it... There is a sensor located right behind the passenger side exhaust tip on the block...

Well... I must have ordered the wrong sensor. The one I found on the block looks identical but the shape of the plastic connector that attaches to the harness is different. Oh yes, I got the oil/coolant sensor for the 2002-2004 c2 and 996 turbo. anyone want a sensor?
