Default Liftgate and tank trap stuck

Any of you have had the same misfortune ?

On my way to pick up the trailer and race car the Pig started acting up (09 V6)
The electric lift/hydraulic gate works (up and down) but the last part of the locking when the door is closed secured doesn't work, the electric motor struggle for a while then quits. If you try to open it doesn't release and stays stuck while the hydraulics try and lift the rear door... Looked around (sooo much plastic...) oiled the mechanism, checked the fused, checked nothing was in the way all around. Nothing.

Just after I noticed the tank lock was stuck on close. May well be linked ??
Had to use the emergency procedure to open it, of course the plastic thingy you pull on to emergency release the trap just detached itself from the car on my 1st (gentle) pull... The screw holding it went along (guess what... it was plastic again). What a POC !

Happily I had not loaded the tyres and stuff. But all week end I had to crawl over 2 cup rear wheels in the boot to activate the emergency freaking tailgate opening system and slam the tailgate like a maniac so it would lock when I needed to close it

Any of you has a clue ? Dealer looked at it for 1 hour without finding anything. I ll have to make another trip and leave that huge bit of plastic there again while on holidays. Any clues would help.

I haven't seen this in a Gen 2 cayenne but Gen 1 cayennes would exhibit similar symptoms if one of the fuses was blown for the rear control unit. Check all of your fuses in the passenger side dash panel.
