Default Porsche's IMS announcement...

Porsche has announced that it will reimburse or repair any and all IMS issues that have occured with their 996, 997, and 987 models due to an improper engine design culminating in perhaps the largest recall in automotive history. Porsche decided that this would be the only way to avoid a massive class action suit, and will honor any IMS claims that have caused catastrophic engine failures.
Repairs by Independant shops and Porsche factory trained franchises will need verification and actual receipts in order to to qualify for a full refund from the factory. Regardless of whether you are the original owner or a successive owner, this action will be across the board regarding coverage.
New Porsche management have decided to take this unprecdented measure in order to foster and protect Porsche's good name and reputation in the automotive industry. Please contact your nearest dealer for additional information and schedule an appointment for youe IMS reimbursement.

Either gold or cold cash , I believe, or a choice of a new 911.

Actually, I was told that since we drive our cars upside down the chance of an IMS issue is negligible?

Bob,

COngrats on getting the new RS. While the content of your avatar pic is awesome, the pic itself doesn't do the car justice. You need a better pic. Just my opinion.

Damn, why do I keep messing with the moderators?
