Clubsport Roll Bar for Cayman/CaymanS
Bodymotion is pleased to introduced their Clubsport Roll Bar for the Cayman and CaymanS.
Bolt in Roll Bars with integrated Harness Bar. These bars feature Drawn Over Mandrel 1.75" steel tubing, with a .120 wall thickness. These bars will increase chassis stiffness as well as giving some added protection in a rollover situation. A nice option for DE cars. They are being manufactured by our in supplier who does custom rollcages.
We are currently offering these for $1,800 painted and installed. The one pictured is black but we can paint them in any color you would like. This is an introductory offer for Rennlist members.

Sorry, not a real big fan of Bolt-In rollbars. They give a false sense of security but make a good 6-point belt mounting spot. As for crashing with one...well.....here's some photos:

What that crushed Mustang link really shows is that its important to use proper end plates. Look at the photo of the car fully upside down. You can clearly see where the cage uprights has gone punched right through the floor pan. That's what happens when any cage or rollbar (bolt-on or weld in) is not properly mounted.
That said, I do think that the roll bar pictured here could use a diagonal cross brace and better rear mounting than the shock tower wrap. But it sure beats what most people add to their cars before doing a DE. A bolt-in rollbar is the minimum safety add on that I require before I do a DE again.

A roll bar will not protect you anywhere near what a properly built roll cage will, but it does offer some added protection, and chassis stiffness.

no expert here, but the roll bar has no diagonal in the main hoop and rear kickers are not at the structural nodes. i wonder if that would cause stress point?
