Default key fob battery change

Hi,

As I only received one key fob when I bought the car, I would like to order one or two batteries in spare to play it safe.

Does someone know the exact model I should order ?

Thanks in advance !

I bought one at Radio Shack for about $2. Take the fob with you and they will find the correct battery.

Is there anything in particular you need to think about when you change battery? I opened my keyfob with the small philips screwdriver and the whole electric board came out.. Is it supposed to be lose like that? then I replace the battery but no juice.. The small diode doesn't light up when pushing the button either..

Battery is MN21 or A23. Mine was labeled 21/23. Available almost anywhere.

IIRC, the board just sits in there. Just make sure you have the polarity right and that the new battery is good. reminds me, I should change mine

good luck

Right, A23. Just picked up a couple last night myself ($1.99) and stashed them in the glove box.

Just in case of fob battery failure, I purchased a small plastic pill vial that's just big enough to put an A23 battery inside, then hung it to the fob.
