Default Bosch Icon Wiper Blades

I am being asked more and more for the new Icon blade.
What I did not know was that there are two blade types per size length.
A and B. Different spring tension within the blade itself (not the arm) define A or B.
Bosch has not defined fitment to our cars as they only did this for 95 and newer and the 95 GTS did not warrant a trial.
So has anybody any experiance between the A & B fited to the left or right hand side of our cars?
Do you use 20" or 21".
If no one has any first hand experiance I will order sets of both a test.

Once I know what fits our cars best I will be selling them for $17.50 each.

I have them on all of mine and I see no difference between the A and B. I have the 19in., but 20 might work, I didn't try them. The top of the wiper has a small off center wind deflector and IF you had wipers that were both driven side to side from the middle - one clockwise and the other clockwise then it would matter. I hope I don't have this wrong, but I don't think so.

Rod,
Does that mean you have A & B on all your cars?
Or all A's or all B's?

I have one type, but there is no designation of A or B on the wiper. I'll check with Advance Auto and see what I can find out.

Okay, here's what they say. They come in two "slightly" different contours to acknoweldge the difference in the driver and passenger sides glass curvature and they apparently have no discernable - visible difference. ??? What the hell.... They don't list them for the 928, but I remember now that we just took them out and tested them on the car and 19in. worked fine.

Hope that helps.

Hmmm, I actually don't remember, but these guys are my "buddies" and they gave me a big discount. Your suggested price of $17.50 looks good compared to their regular price.

Any seat news.

I have them on my 89. I did not know there was an A and B, and I see are no markings on the blades that would help me determine which I got.

I have 19". Isn't that the correct length? I can't find any indication in the owner's manual. I may have just replaced them based on what the PO had used, but it does appear 20" would certainly fit and 21" would probably go right up to the top molding.

They are good blades, have held up very well and do not chatter or shimmy at all, but they do not conform to the glass curvature any better than other blades. The outer 2" is not touching the glass on the passenger side when at rest.

I have the Bosch Icon "B" 20" blades on all my cars.

The only thing I find (with all blades) is that the spot the wiper arm attaches to the blade is alittle loose, allowing the arm to shimmy abit in the wiper.

I pay just under $20/pop locally.

Ditto on what Lizard said. There is a quite a bit of shimmy at the attachment point between the 20" wiper blade assembly and wiper arm. I ended up going back to the Bosch Micro Edge. Unfortunately, I do not remember if I used A or B. Sorry Rog.

The Icon one-piece design does look cool though!

I used 419A. They work really well, and look modern. ~$12, shop price. No shimmy that I've noticed.

Bill is right that they still stick out on the pax side, but you can bend the blades slightly, and it will stay down.

As everybody said before: These are really good wipers.

Autobahn tested by Schocki up to 120 MPH and they are doing a great job
