Default 993 C4 v 993 C4s

Hi Guys,

Anyone got a picture of a C4 sitting next to a C4S from behind?

I really think I want a C4S as they are wider!!!

Cheers

Sunil,

Not only are they wider, they are also faster. Go for the S.

Cool Faster???

Why would they be faster...the have a higher coefficient of drag C.D., and they are heavier...I'll admit; I love the look, but good looks don't equal fast or faster.

Great re-sale value on the Carrera 4S as well. No argument there!

0-60
1995 Porsche C4 Carrera 5.3
1997 Porsche C4S Carrera 5.0

Yes faster but todays standards somewhat slow of a sports car either way you go. Not that it is bad but there are "quicker" Honda Accords off the production line than most all of the 993s.

Which Accord does 0-60 in under 5.5?

They all go fast... Go for the C4S because it stops faster and it's a wide assed beauty

R&T clocked the new Camry V6 at 6.1 sec to 60. A 993 driver had better stay above 4500 rpm to keep ahead.

Can't tell much difference, can you? (Yellow car isn't a C4, but that doesn't really matter..............)

And it will likely be worth an equal amount more when the time comes to sell. My house would cost 30-50% more if it were in SF. Or even Piedmont. Vote with your wallet! (I've got one of each, plus an RS America, instead of a single GT3?)

Here you go! I know it is a subtle difference but I'm a sucker for the rearview of an S. The one on the right is my C4 and the one on the left is a C4S. Both in midnight blue. Hope this helps fuel your fire. Good luck.

I don't know if it's subtle! To my eye the "S" body looks much better.
