No. It was a mistake on my part....I wanted you to ask more. Get up in the 80's...you can always go down.

Not trying to be an ***...the engine bay needs a good cleaning.

My 2 cents is his engine bay looks great....I have no issue with people making there engine bays really nice but to me I personally think its gone a little nuts out there and I like the "my owner didn't wipe me down for 3 hours after I ran the last time" look. In addition it gets to use the collector car term of this decade... "has nice patina".

Most likely. There are a number of things on the car that will push the price down to a knowledgable buyer.

Nothing wrong with your ask, but if you post you should expect comments good and bad.

He was in the 80's and most likely not getting any real bids.

^^^Not an issue with a modern car but with a car 50 years old, a clean engine bay goes a long way to show prospective buyer how well you maintain and care for your special car.

When I purchased my 356 thats what the motor looked like...and its what sold me in the end. Rest of the car looked that way too.

And I drive my car 3-4 times a week. Just wipe the engine bay down regularly. No garage queen here in Delray.

When you ask high 5 figures you better have yo shyte together.
