WTB: 356/550 spyder (Reproduction)
hopefully not blasphemy in the eyes of the 356 section, a good friends girlfriend is looking for a vintage porsche for the summer that she can drive without any qualm... she wanted a true 356, but i'm just not sure how that would be with daily driving and short trips (he wouldn't want her stranded somewhere/etc)
curious if anyone would have a lead on a 356 spyder or 550 spyder, fully finished and in perfect working order of course.
i assume the best repro right now is becks? (im not an expert but just from asking around they seemed to have a good one)
would love any help/suggestions.. or even an original 356 thats in perfect working order.

didn't know where else on the site to ask, not a fan of fakes.. but when it comes to historical rare cars sometimes they are not shunned (like some of the GT40 rep companies that have made a quality name for themselves.)
lastly, besides rennlist classifieds... any good place to look for trustworthy vintage cars? she wants to spend 100 max.. but also feel like she got a good deal.

I probably got lucky but Ive bought 2 off e-bay and was very happy both times. For 100k you are gonna find many really nice coupes.
Once she drives one....thats it....hook will be set and off she goes.

Best place to look is 356Registry.com.
Also Hagerty Insurance website for value guidelines.
Massive differences in value depending on years/models/condition.
