Thumbs up Lucky Encounter

This afternoon it was a rainy day here in Heidelberg, so I was very surprised to see this 356 in the Post Exchange parking lot. It is not very often you see a 356 on the road much less on a rainy day. Even more amazing is I just caught a glimpse of some kind of 356 cab on the way home. It was in traffic going the opposite direction so I only saw enough to ID it as a 356.

I thought it was a pretty well put together little outlaw. Definitely had a theme to it. Inside it was all tricked out for rally, with the stop watches and all. It also had helmets which match the car and each other in the back seat. And the largest Pegasus I have ever seen. Over all a very nice 356, and a great way to start the weekend.

Enjoy the shots.

That is a very cool 356. I like the black Pegasus and the Magnum 500 wheels (that's what I call them anyway).

Yes, I thought so too. It was great to walk out of the building I was in and see it there.

I am normally not a huge fan of those wheels, but they worked with this car.

I would like to know what the axillary lights are.

I can post the pics over at the 356 Registry if you like. I'm sure someone will know about those lights.

Sure, please post them on the 356 Registry. I am a member there (I am a 356 wannabe). I meant to post them there also, but have not taken the time.

They look like Empi Sprint Star reproduction (but I cant really tell from the angles). I have a set of OG steel ones on my Brasilian Bus

I like it so much after leaving another building on the installation I had to make a few phone calls. Holding the phone while driving is illegal in Germany, so I went back over to where this car was, parked and made phone calls in hopes the owner would come out.
I have to go back to that installation a few times before we leave. I will keep watching for the owner.

I didn't get any response on the aux lights over at the 356Registry. Perhaps they are a one off custom job.
