What happened? Is the tow hook attached to the piece beneath the hood? Every 356 owners nightmare.

Oil filter gasket developed a leak. My fault. Was weeping a little at the bolt to tighten the oil filter cap and it was tightened a bit more to fix the weeping and that little extra torque was all it took to "cut" through the rubber gasket in a couple of spots. A new gasket has been added to my "on board" parts catch.

Tow truck driver did not use the tow hook. Used nylon straps around the suspension on both sides. A good lad he was.

My car is missing tow hook. Thanks for tip on loading.

My "new" '64 sunroof en route from Portland today, should be here Monday. The last time I had a 356 was 40 years ago....

Thanks! Yes it is an original and I even have the pink straps that tie the skis on. Really old and falling apart but Ill keep em anyway.

Centerpunch....nothing like a sunroof coupe. The breeze of a cab but the sturdy handling of a coupe. Ive had 2 coupes and a 2 cabs and Ive come to the conclusion the coupes handle better.
