I noticed on ProMax site they have upgrade sets that include these plugs.

I just got a set from my local dealer, since they sell them as the stock replacement here in Spain and was wondering if anyone had tried them and had any feedback. TIA

Are these the 4 core ones? i had them on my car (4 core) and honestly didn't notice any difference over the stock Bosch W7 stuff.....

After 12,000kms the car wasn't really 'acting nice', switched plugs back to new stock Bosch and ran smooth as silk........the Beru ones didn;t have any signs of concern (lean/rich engine, nothing broken, just the standard looking running plugs) but the car sure didn't like it after some time.

PS i was running the UX79 and i was told that they are 'one of the best high performance plugs in the market' by a reliable vendor........

Nope. Single prong. Have yet to install mine.

we race with BERU two prong in the Gt3 cars at Porsche Supercup.
No problem for the last 6 years.
Every car reacts different to differnt spark plugs so you must try and see if it works good or not
I will put the UX79 in my car in about 800 km.
If they work good I will put the UX 56 later

The new ones I got from Porsche are Beru Ultra Porsche part number 999.170.156.90. "Made in France" and have the numbers 14R - 7DU.

It turns out the plugs in the car were also Beru Ultras. The electrodes were pretty worn, since they came with the car 4 years ago.

I put the new ones in yesterday and I feel a much smoother acceleration all the way to redline. Feels great!

What gap size?

I have a gap measurement key and checked them per the specs in the FSM. Don't remember the size, but they were correctly pregapped.

I have used these plugs for many years with no problems. Beru makes top quality ignition parts. I never gapped them ,just put them in. Because of the 4 electrode they seem to wear very evenly on the center electrode. This is where a spark plug wears most. When the sharp edge is gone, the spark has more trouble making the "jump". Just a side note: I think plug wires with the Beru connectors are best. Magnacore may have good wire but there connectors are not good, I have had issues with spark jump around the connectors with Magnacores. I just bought a set of NGK Irridums to try. I am always looking for something better. If they are not up to the job I will go back to the Beru Ultra-X's. The Beru Silverstones did not run well in my car...

Isn't the gap size printed in the box of the plugs??

No. They just have the maroon "PORSCHE" lettering and the part number I quoted.
