Default Fairfield County, CONNECTICUT Mechanic Recommendation

Can anyone recommend a good shop for an Oil Change and Brake Fluid Flush somewhere near either Fairfield County or New Haven County Connecticut? I just recently moved to Stamford, CT from North Jersey and I am looking to have those two things done. Normally I would do it myself, but I am still in the middle of completing the move and time/weather just does not permit. Obviously not looking to go to a dealer. Thanks for the help!

**Previously used Autosport Performance in Englewood, NJ last time I was in a pinch and was very happy. If anyone knows of them and can recommend something similar that would be great. AP in Englewood specialized in Porsche and Audi repairs and maint.

ICS is in Stamford and can probably handle something as simple as that.

Nope. For everything I can't DIY, I personally only use TKX in Huntington, Long Island.

Willing to give Dan Jacobs a shot too.

I'm just concerned becasue some of the online reviews for ICS say to avoid it like the plague. George at ICS quoted me 500 total labor if I supply the parts. Oil change, bleed and change brake fluid, change cabin and pollen filters, clean body drains (even though that sounds like a total scam), and change spark plugs.

I'd be willing to travel to TKZ if you highly recommend them.

Try Rennwerke in Elmsford, NY. I have started to take my Turbo there and the Cayman for basic maintenance. So far I'm very happy. They are about 20 - 25 min from Stamford.

$500 does sound ridiculous for that.

I know how hard it is to find someone you trust. I've been using TKX for years after bad experiences with other shops.

TKX is a small shop with 3 or 4 employees, so communication isn't always the best. I have found success in communicating with them through email.

They did a large amount of work on my m3. Labor alone into the 5 figure range. The cars there are also impressive and give you a good feeling of security. Fortunately, there are more reputable Porsche specialists around than BMW specialists.

I'm open to trying new shops. Dan Jacobs is definitely on my list.

Morton Competition in Stamford. Richard is the only person there all the time. Stuart Morton is there on Mondays only and spends most of his time building engines at his VT house.

Thanks guys. I think I am going to pass on ICS and explore the others that have been mentioned. Very difficult to trust someone with my baby, as I am sure you can understand. I'll let you know the final verdict.

Happy to hear more suggestions if anyone has them.

Wheelers in Hamden has been great for my 911 Turbo, Audi S8 and Cayenne S. They are on State Street.

Morton is perfect for what you need done. I used Dan Jacobs for race car setup and alignment, Morton for basic maintenance and Rennwerke for bodywork.
