Stack of Porsches: GT3 Parks Atop Another GT3 During Race

Well, there have definitely been worse crashes, but I’m not sure if there’s been weirder.

At the 2015 Porsche Carrera Cup in Navarra, Spain, the cars were approaching a hairpin corner during the first course. Joffrey De Narda’s 911 GT3 car spun out, which is never a good thing, especially since he was embroiled in the pack. It gets worse though — De Narda soon found out his Porsche was also a parking spot.

While De Narda’s car was facing the wrong direction, Jules Gounon accidentally used the spinning car as a ramp, drove right up the hood, and came to a standstill on top of De Narda’s Porsche.

Amazingly, neither car nor driver sustained too much damage, not even De Narda’s windshield, which remained mostly intact, as you can see from the in-car footage in the video below. In fact, this same car went on to win the weekend’s third race!
