Who better to provide a compelling and long overdue video history of Porsche’s “most thrilling milestones” than FIA World Endurance racing champ and Porsche engineer Marc Lieb? (Don’t worry, there’s an English-speaking translator overdubbing all the exciting details being delivered by the German racer.)

Produced by the iconic car company, the new “Porsche Top 5” video series covers a wide roster of Porsche’s best moments and milestones. The latest clip in the on-going series focuses on one of our favorite types of fantasy rides: Porsche race cars!

Justifiably titled “The Most Thrilling Porsche Milestones on Track,” the three-minute clip comprises five unforgettable Porsche rides and the races where they made history.

Included in Lieb’s rundown of famous races and rides is the 1,230 hp Porsche 917 30 Spyder making its debut at the 1973 Can-Am Cup, as well as stories about the Porsche 956 stealing the spotlight at the Triple Victory Le Mans in 1982 and a 959 wowing the crowd at the 1986 Rallye Paris Dakar. Check out more of the history of some of Porsche’s — and the world’s — fastest cars in the clip. There will be a pop quiz in 30 minutes!
