The family that track-days together, stays together. Or at least that seems to be the mantra that C.J. Wilson (MLB pitcher, racing team owner, and huge car enthusiast) follows. Last weekend, he brought his wife and 9-month-old daughter out for a McLaren and Porsche joint track day at the Inde Motorsports Ranch near Tucson, Arizona. He brought out a wonderful assortment of racers, including his Cayman GT4 Clubsport race car, his 991 GT3 RS street car, and a wonderfully unique BAC Mono. The GT4 is currently being campaigned by his team, CJ Wilson Racing, in the IMSA Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge “Grand Sport” category, and is lovingly known as “Darth Cayman.” I don’t know about you, but if I’d been anywhere near that car as a 9-month-old, I might have been afraid of it. Luckily, her mother was there getting in on the fun as well.

The little one sure looks like she’s having a ton of fun, though. She’s all smiles, and happiness abounds. I guess when you’re that age, the bright colors and interesting sounds are enough to keep you entertained for the whole day. The best part of C.J. having started this Rennlist thread is that a lot of other members started chiming in with photographs of their kids (and grandkids) hanging out, helping, and having fun with Porsches. It started out as a very pure and wholesome thread, from one loving father sharing his experience, and has blossomed into a place where fellow Porsche fans can join in the fun and share the pride and joy they have for their families and their cars.

If you’re a Porsche fanatic as well as a proud mother or father (or grandmother or grandfather) and want a place to share your greatest shared experiences, this might be the spot. When you’re on Rennlist, we’re all family in a way. When you’re not on Rennlist, hopefully you’re creating new memories with your real family, like CJ has.
