Steelers Wideout Jokingly Demands Jets-inspired 911 GT3 from Pal

In a now-famous 2016 Instragam video, then-New York Jets receiver Brandon Marshall challenged Pittsburgh Steelers wideout Antonio Brown to a “race for pinks.”

Marshall bet that the player with the most receiving yards would get the pink slip to the other’s car. But, here’s the good part: We’re not talking about the pink slip to the family mini-van. Marshall offered up a white Porsche 911 GT3 with green Jets racing stripes (pictured above) in exchange for Brown’s magnificent Rolls Royce Phantom, which is custom painted with the distinctive stars-on-stars Steelers logo (below).

Brown never formally accepted the bet, and at the end of the 2016 season, earned 1,284 yards compared to Marshall’s 788.

Now, USA Today reports that the infamous Porsche/Phantom bet is hitting national headlines again. On March 8, 2017, Marshall signed on with the New York Giants, which elicited a reminder from Brown to send over the Porsche, even saying that he’d accept if it was donated to charity. Recently, Brown ran into Marshall and shouted, “Keys! Keys! Keys!,” which prompted a bewildered Marshall to respond with, “Make up your mind. So you didn’t want me to donate it?!?”

In fairness, Marshall’s challenge was one-sided since Brown didn’t initially respond to the bet, so the confusion is understandable. We’ll just have to wait and see who pulls up in the Porsche 911 GT3 at the next Steelers vs. Giants game.
